For the last several years, Hal has been working as creative director on "The Next, Best West," an independent documentary being produced by Coldstream Creative — and we're in the final stretch. The film was shot in Colorado, Montana, Washington and Oregon, and now editor Darren Campbell is holed up and putting the final touches on the shape. The film detals an optimistic future for the American West, told through the stories of individuals who are involved in projects to restore parts of this iconic region's glory. As one character says, "progress isn't a straight line — it's a closing circle."
